Press Release:  COVID-19 Community Response Fund

The San Angelo Area Foundation continues monitoring the COVID-19 impact on our community and our local charities.  No category of nonprofits has been immune to the economic effects of COVID-19.  The San Angelo Area Foundation has established a COVID-19 Community Response Fund to provide emergency grants to charitable organizations in the Concho Valley who have experienced increased service demands and/or have been impacted by the economic consequences as a result of this outbreak.  View Press Release

We know our community stands ready to respond, which is why SAAF has established the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, that will be used to support community needs in response to COVID-19/Coronavirus.  In effort to quickly provide critical resources to our local charities, the Foundation's Board of Directors has authorized up to $200,000 challenge grant, matching donations dollar for dollar up to $200,000.  Donations to this fund will be used to provide financial support for area charitable organizations that will work with individuals, families, and communities who may be most affected by this epidemic.

All charities will need continued support over the coming months, even if they may not be directly responding the crisis.  We encourage everyone to continue providing financial support to the broad range of causes and nonprofits across the Concho Valley.  Charties are experiancing an increased need for services during this crisis and are in need of access to flexible unrestricted funds to provide additional dollars to assist them during this epidemic.
