Flooding on July 4, 2025 affected over 1,800 verified locations in the Concho Valley, with more than 800 homes receiving significant damage. The San Angelo Area Foundation, along with members of the COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) have been helping residents who have been impacted through emergency grants from the Disaster Relief Fund to assist with pressing needs and immidate repairs to homes. As our community moves from response to recovery, a Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) has been established to ensure a collaborative response continues to address unmet needs and/or challenges our residents are facing.
The Foundation has created a new web-site called conchovalleytogether.org to serve as a central hub of data and information collection for those impacted by the flood, as well as answers to frequently asked questions. Visit conchovalleytogether.org to learn more about the work of community partners through the COAD and LTRG.
