Disaster Fund - July 4th 2025 Flood

Flooding on July 4th, 2025 has impacted thousands of residents in the Concho Valley with more than 1,000 homes receiving major flood damage.

Disaster philanthropy is vital when faced with the unexpected and the Foundation has witnessed the Concho Valley respond with heartfelt generosity. This disaster has been declared a disaster by a the State of Texas and has also received Federal Disaster recognition through FEMA. 

Foundation Disaster Funds will provide emergency support to fill the gap quickly in support of any governmental funding assistance.

IMPACTED RESIDENTS INFORMATION - INTAKE - RESOURCES

The Foundation is working with local Community Organizations Active in Disasters (COAD) groups to assist in determining need and the best way to quickly provide financial support.

Those impacted with damage need to complete the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) iSTAT damage survey as quickly as possible at https://damage.tdem.texas.gov

This survey is utilized to quickly identify damage with all COAD members and coordinates the response in a disaster. Individuals impacted, survivors and volunteers can assist in completing this information for others through the iSTAT survey.

To help the Foundation assess damages for possible assistance from the Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund, please complete our intake form by clicking here for SAAF Intake. This information will be used along with the iSTAT damage survey to determine financial assistance for those significantly impacted.

Starting Monday July 14, 2025 A Disaster Recovery Inake / Information center will be open from noon until 6pm at the City Transit Annex at 75 E. Sixth Street, which is next door to the Main Transit Station. This intake site will be were impacted residents can get assistance in completing intake for community resources active in San Angelo and the Concho Valley.

Homeowners and Business Owners impacted by the flood are eligible for the following assistance: 

  • Business Physical Disaster Loans – Loans to businesses to repair or replace disaster-damaged property owned by the business, including real estate, inventories, supplies, machinery and equipment. Businesses of any size are eligible. Private, non-profit organizations such as charities, churches, private universities, etc., are also eligible.
  • Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) – Working capital loans to help small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster. These loans are intended to assist through the disaster recovery period.  
  • Home Disaster Loans – Loans to homeowners or renters to repair or replace disaster-damaged real estate and personal property, including automobiles.

The Concho Valley Community Action Agency is providing assistance to impacted residents in need of emergency temporary shelter or income based assistance at (325)653-2411 or https://www.cvcaa.org/

The Concho Valley Turning Point is accepting donations of goods (not food or water) at their warehouse at 2400 South Hill Street, San Angelo, TX 76903.

Starting July 14th, impacted individuals can stop by Rust Street Ministries at 803 Rust Street, San Angelo, TX 76903 to receive essential personal items including, food clothing, hygiene and other soft goods.

The Concho Valley Food Bank is accepting donations of food and water at their warehouse at 1313 South Hill Street, San Angelo, TX 76903
