Nancy Joanna Suttle Walker Scholarship Fund

As a child, Joanna attended Camp Capers in Waring, Texas and this fund was created in memory of Joanna by a childhood friend of the 1950's while attending Camp Capers.  Joanna was raised in Uvalde, a graduate of St. Stephen's Episcopal School and later attended Randolph-Macon Girls College in Virginia, majoring in Religious Studies. Joanna married Mr. Stephen Walker and had two children before her passing at the age of 30.  This fund will provide scholarships to alumni campers or staff members of Camp Capers who attend Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia and is based on high academic ability, strong work ethic, and financial need.
