[Page 1] Town & Country partners donate $18 million to SAAF

Town & Country completed its sale to Susser Holdings Corporation of Corpus Christi Texas on November 13th 2007, a development which will see Town & Country become Stripes Convenience Stores over time. In keeping with its commitment of excellence and Town & Country logophilanthropic stewardship, the partners of Town & Country donated $18 million dollars to the San Angelo Area Foundation following the sale.

“This gift shows the partners of Town & Country are truly great citizens of our area and this gift will provide for a multitude of grants for years to come,” according to Matt Lewis, president of the San Angelo Area Foundation. “We are truly humbled to be working with such great people as those affiliated with Town & Country. We look forward to this continued relationship as these funds make their way throughout the area in many charitable grants.”

The investment return on these gifts will continue the philanthropic attitude that was a hallmark of Town & Country for decades. To the end, the people of Town & Country lived up to their slogan: ‘The Town & Country Difference.’
