Gary Cox, grants committee chairman (photo at right), announced the following grant awards from component funds of the Foundation totaling $92,410. These are the first grant awards from the new community foundation formed one year ago.

The Foundation also manages funds for the San Angelo Schools Foundation under a collaborative agreement. The Grants for Teachers Fund awards grants to SAISD teachers and their schools to aid them in funding creative and innovative techniques in their classrooms.
