Special Projects Funds

Special Projects funds typically are a short term project which would benefit the greater community. The San Angelo Area Foundation can act as the fiduciary facilitator of these types of projects, while offering tax deductible advantages to potential donors. For more information about establishing a special project fund, contact the Foundation office.

Beacon to the Future Fund
This is a capital campaign fund which holds donations for the Tom Green County Library efforts to move the library operations into the former Hemphill Wells department store, creating a new 80,000 square foot home for the library in downtown San Angelo.

San Angelo Stadium Field House Project Fund
This project was conceived by Stormy Kimrey in which citizens can donate monies to help construct a new state of the art field house at San Angelo Stadium. The new field house would offer home team locker rooms for all San Angelo Schools. Central High School, Lake View High School, and Angelo State University would each have their own locker room. Additional weight rooms and women’s facilities would bring the field house to first-class standards.

Science Inspiration Fund
Created by Reed Shahan, in honor of Claude Wooley, a former Central High physics teacher. Fund used to bring Science to the 5th grade class room in an inspirational format, using “Science in the Movies.”

Samaritan Pastoral Counseling Center Building Fund
Capital campaign fund to hold donations for a new home for the Samaritan Pastoral Counseling Center.
