San Angelo Area Foundation

Annual Report - 2005

Agency Funds

Agency Funds are assigned to the San Angelo Area Foundation by a non-profit 501(c)3 organization to invest and grow, with net earnings distributed according to the direction of the charity. From time to time, the charity itself or donors may make gifts of cash or property acceptable to the Foundation to a specific fund managed by the Foundation. These funds are often endowed funds and the total return of the endowment is available for distribution to the charity as the charity directs or can be invested back into their corpus. Subsequent gifts will be held and administrated as part of the fund in accordance with the fund agreement.

Supporters of these organizations are encouraged to consider making donations to the endowments. Endowed gifts last forever and donor gifts provide a lasting legacy to support these organizations. Donations may be made as an honorarium, memorial, or simply a gift to support these funds. When making a gift to an agency fund, the donor needs to make their check payable to the San Angelo Area Foundation, reference the name of the fund on their check and mail the check to 2201 Sherwood Way, Suite 205, San Angelo, Texas 76901. If the gift is a memorial or honorarium, a gift letter will be sent to those the donor seeks to honor.
